For example he fills potato ravioli with burrata and tomatoes and makes a tortelli out of codfish with a chickpea sauce and hot shrimp. Restaurant Opium in the Ipanema Plaza features contemporary Asian cuisine including a sushi bar. Terral Restaurant in the Sheraton Barra Hotel offers a buffet for lunch and breakfast as well as an a la carte dinner that focuses on ethnic Mediterranean dishes infused with Brazilian ingredients.

The new trendy restaurant of the city is the Fasano Al Mare, one of the best restaurants in town. The restaurant is elegantly decorated with furniture design and ornamented in Murano Crystal. The kitchen is run by the Italian chef Luca Gozzani. Do try the grilled shrimp with mushrooms and herbs, it’s a must.

The best way to find a decent hotel restaurant is to check with your concierge. They will have the insight as to which hotel restaurants are best. If your hotel does not have a concierge check with one of the managers as they are usually in the know about the hotels in the area.
